Lauren Bavin lives in Auckland New Zealand, the mother of 3 children: Cameron 16, Matthew, 14 Hannah 7, and wife of Steve. Lauren has never really paper scrapped- but has been digitally scrapbooking for nearly 7 years, but it was like she had found her passion in life when she discovered digital scrapbooking. She had been searching on the net for ways to improve her digital photos and ran across some of the digital scrapbooking sites, and she was hooked in seconds. Her style is a constantly evolving thing but generally that of a paper scrapbooker without the bulk of “real “ embellishment

She loves all styles of digital scrapbooking, but her forte is probably the recreation of realistic elements for paper style pages. Self-taught in Photoshop, she has used Paint Shop Pro and Picture It, but is in love with Photoshop!!!

In her real life (when she has one!) she loves to read – her favorite authors are Lee Child and Harlen Coben but has a very eclectic taste and will read just about anything recommended to her, and favorite TV program would probably be "24", but changes her preferences with the wind!
Lauren works full time for DSP , designing, and teaching digital scrapbooking and is honoured that this passion can be now called her career.

She also loves to entertain and does quite a bit of it – scouring her (hundreds of) cookbooks for wonderful recipes to try out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have time to do as much of this as she used to. Lauren has traveled quite extensively, especially in her early adult years as do many New Zealanders and 2007 has been the highlight of her travel experiences as she has visited the US to meet up with her fellow DSP members not once but 3 times and cant wait to return.

Cabin in the Woods Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"I liked this kit so much I got the extras pack to go with it. It obviously would be great with camping and outdoor layouts, but I also used it to "hang" and display nature art photos. The twigs, fiber and corrugated paper make great hanging materials. The torn papers and acorns add even more textures to work with."

Frozen Margarita Page Kit

Sun Surf Sand Page Kit
[5 of 5 Stars]

"I got this kit mainly for the nicely mottled slide mounts, but found that I also love and use often the beautifully colored and textured papers, the library label holder, and that cool little sun charm, which can work well as a brad in the right situations."
